QUEERCAB // February 7 // Doors at 8:30PM, QueerCab at 9PM

This month’s theme is CROSSROADS.
Hosted by Daniel Carter + Jordan Campbell.

When the new year hits everywhere you look people are making resolutions, setting intentions, or posting the highlights from the year before. The beginning of the year can feel like a new opportunity to take action on something old. No matter the date, new year or not, everyday is a chance to set new intentions and begin again! Cliché we know, though clichés do exist for a reason 🙂 What if every moment is a crossroads to creating your future and you approached it that way? Join us at Queer Cab February: Crossroads! Revisit something old, or create something new, we at the Buddies Youth Program invite you to dance, sing, scream, act, recite, show, or do WHATEVER you do on the stage with us.

Limited performance slots available! Email Leelee@buddiesinbadtimes.com to sign up. Let us know any tech requirements – as long as you don’t need to hang from the rafters we can usually accommodate your performance! There will also be a limited number of ‘sign up on the spot’ spots available.

QueerCab is our monthly youth open mic. Anyone can attend and support, but the stage is reserved for queer and trans identified folks to perform. At Buddies we know that there is a great divide of privilege and access operating in our community and our world. Our commitment is to honour the diversity of the community as a whole, creating space that is safer for Indigenous, 2-spirited folks, Trans Women of Color, People of Color, and GLBTQI, and any whose voices are often left behind and marginalized. The event is pay-what-you-can, and all proceeds raised will be donated to a rotating organization.
